Amsterdam-based photographer Greet de Schipper studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work can be defined as lifestyle photography with an emphasis on interior, food, travel and people.
She works in assignment for a number of magazines and companies. Among them, in recent past and at present, are: Allerhande, ANWB, Belastingdienst, BNA, Credits Media, Douwe Egberts, Gardens & Country, Natuurmonumenten, NCRV, Nudetijdvanjeleven, Residence, Wining & Dining.
Projects she initiated herself were 'Cortiços', Brasil 1994, published in
'Onze Wereld'. 'The ones that stayed behind', Mexico/ L.A. 1996, published
in 'Elsevier'. Together with photographer Tessa Posthuma de Boer and in
collaboration with Paz Holandesa, the project 'Pictures of Paz', war
realised in Peru 2001/2002. An exposition in the 'Wereldmuseum' in
Rotterdam, 2002 showed the work.
In 2004 she worked on a hotel guide about castle hotels in Poland, Hungary, the Czech republic and Slovakia; a project she initiated, researched, wrote and photographed.
It was published in March 2005 by the ANWB.
